A Place Where Finances Become Clear

Siam Sage was built around one idea: that understanding your money should feel like opening a window — not a wall.

Our Story

How Siam Sage Began

Siam Sage came together in 2018 when a small group of educators and long-term Phuket residents noticed a gap. People in their forties, fifties, and beyond — whether Thai or expatriate — often had questions about their money that the mainstream financial world wasn't answering in plain, accessible terms.

The founders had backgrounds in adult education and personal finance. They had spent years watching people feel overwhelmed, unsure where to begin, or put off by jargon. So they started something quieter: small-group sessions in Karon, guided by the belief that financial understanding should be within reach for anyone willing to sit down and learn.

Over the years the courses have grown in depth and structure, but the atmosphere has stayed the same — unhurried, honest, and warm. The name Siam Sage reflects both the region we call home and the kind of thoughtful, grounded perspective we try to bring to every session.

Our Mission

Clarity over complexity. We strip away the language that makes finance feel unapproachable, and replace it with plain words and practical examples.

Respect for the learner. Every person who comes to Siam Sage brings decades of life experience. We start from there, not from zero.

Education, not persuasion. We are not a financial services firm. We provide education so that our learners can make their own well-informed decisions — ideally alongside a licensed adviser.

Long-term thinking. Our courses are not about quick changes. They are about building a steadier relationship with money over time.

Our Standards

How We Work

A few principles shape everything we do at Siam Sage — from how we write our materials to how we run each session.

Plain-Language Materials

All printed guides, worksheets, and session notes are written to be understood on first reading. We review them regularly and simplify wherever we can.

Small Group Sizes

We cap each session at eight participants so there is always space to ask questions, slow down, and make sure everyone is keeping pace.

Data Privacy

Personal information shared during enrolment is used only to manage your course place. We do not share, sell, or use it for marketing without your agreement.

Content Accuracy

Course content is reviewed each year against current Thai financial regulations and banking conditions. We update materials whenever something changes.

Participant Feedback

We ask every participant for written feedback after each course and use those responses to improve the programme. We take suggestions seriously.

Independent Position

Siam Sage has no commercial relationships with banks, investment firms, or financial product providers. Our courses are not shaped by outside interests.

Financial Understanding Built on Solid Ground

Siam Sage operates from Karon, in the Muang district of Phuket — a part of southern Thailand with a long-established international community. Many of our participants have lived in the region for years; others are newer arrivals getting to grips with Thai financial systems for the first time. We serve both.

Our courses are structured around adult education principles: short, focused sessions, space for discussion, and materials that participants keep and can return to. We work with the understanding that most people in their forties and beyond already carry strong practical knowledge about managing daily life — and that financial education should build on that, not talk down to it.

We cover everyday Thai banking, deposit and savings products, planning for healthcare and later-life costs, and how to approach conversations with licensed financial professionals. We do not sell financial products, and we are not regulated as a financial advice firm. Our purpose is education: helping people understand their options clearly so they can make their own decisions with confidence.

Since 2018, more than four hundred participants have taken a course at Siam Sage. Many have come back for the next level, and a number have become informal advocates — recommending us to friends and family. That quiet word-of-mouth has always meant more to us than any advertisement.
